Some campaigns hand you a product and ask you to find the story. This one handed us a marriage.
Andrew White and Nana Mirdad walked in as themselves, mostly. A couple known publicly for steadiness, for a life that looks lived-in rather than performed. Pristine8.6+ wanted that authenticity front and center, an alkaline water brand built on purity and equilibrium, and there's no faster way to communicate balance than casting two people who already seem to have found it together.
The key visual concept was almost architectural in its simplicity: a seesaw, tipped on one end by the noise of daily life, spice, caffeine, stress, deadlines, and balanced on the other by Andrew and Nana, poised and unbothered. It's a visual metaphor doing a lot of quiet work. You don't need to read the headline to understand what the brand is offering.
Lighting had to match that restraint. We built a white limbo background with just a whisper of the brand's signature hue bleeding into it, enough to tie the frame to the product without ever competing with the talent. Soft, diffused, almost clinical in its cleanliness, but never cold. The goal was an atmosphere that felt aspirational and calm at once, the visual equivalent of a long exhale.
Beyond the three key visuals, the day carried a longer list of supporting stock, some essential, some more flexible depending on how the campaign rolled out later. Priority went to the shots that told the clearest brand story: natural, unguarded poses, moments that nodded to stress without overplaying it, product interaction with the gallon format that anchors the brand's household presence, and lifestyle frames of the water traveling with them through an ordinary day. Further down the list sat the softer material, casual movement, quiet domestic warmth, and seasonal or thematic frames that could be pulled out for greetings and campaigns down the line.
Shooting entirely within Ruang HIRA gave us something a location scout can't always promise: full control. No weather to negotiate, no light to chase, just a controlled environment built to let two people whose chemistry is already real do what they do without interference.
What stayed with me after the shoot wasn't the concept board or the seesaw setup. It was how little direction Andrew and Nana actually needed. Some campaigns you build. This one, mostly, we just had to frame.
